While hiking in Jillian’s hometown of Seattle, Shane popped the question atop Tiger Mountain as Jillian’s parents waited nearby to celebrate. Given Shane had lived in Hawaii as a child, and both he and Jillian share a love for nature, the Southern California locals opted for an intimate destination wedding in the untouched Ka’a’awa Valley of Oahu, Hawaii. “We wanted an elegant, effortless feel,” said Jillian, “and Moana Events brought our dream to life by building an entire venue in the middle of this stunning, open valley.” The couple said “I do” surrounded by green mountains, which served as a breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony. The reception site, just 200 feet away, featured twinkling string lights and charming wooden accents. Tropical leaves and pale blooms with delicate touches of gold perfectly complimented the natural landscape and enhanced the event’s sophisticated yet breezy vibe. The scenic celebration concluded with Jillian surprising Share with his favorite freshly made Portuguese doughnuts prepared on site for him and guests to enjoy. When asked to design the overall day, the bride said, “Pure bliss!” – Kate Watson
